We hope you are all doing well, staying safe, healthy, and full of creative energy. Today we are excited to share an important milestone with you.

Almost all Jollylook EYE printers have now been successfully shipped! 🎉

We are truly grateful for your patience, trust, and support throughout this journey. None of this would be possible without you, our incredible backers who believed in the project from the very beginning.

Shipping Update

The vast majority of backers have already received their packages, and we have been absolutely amazed by the first photos and results you are sharing with us, they look truly incredible and inspire our entire team every day.

The only backers who have not yet received their units are:

• Backers with address issues or incomplete/incorrect shipping details
• Backers whose shipment includes Instax film cartridges

Unfortunately, we are currently experiencing a delay with the supply of film cartridges.
Our supplier has faced unexpected logistics delays, which has temporarily slowed down the fulfillment of shipments that include film.

We are actively working on resolving this issue. As soon as the film arrives, we will immediately complete all remaining shipments.

We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience and truly appreciate your understanding.

Our team will help you resolve everything as quickly as possible.
If your shipment includes film cartridges and you would prefer to receive your Jollylook EYE sooner, we can offer an option to remove the film from your shipment and refund its value, so your unit can be sent without further delay.

Hello to All the Beautiful People of our Big Jollylook Community!

We hope you all are well, staying safe, and staying healthy.

First and foremost, we want to express our deepest gratitude for your unwavering support of the Jollylook EYE project. 
You’ve been with us every step of the way, and we truly couldn’t have come this far without you. We owe you an apology for the delays in getting your rewards to you. Over the past few months, we’ve faced some unforeseen financial challenges that slowed us down. However, we are happy to report that everything has been resolved, and we are now back on track to fulfill our promises.

Thank you for making our project a reality!

Here’s the latest update:

Shipping Started! 🥳

US Rewards: Our team has been working tirelessly to pack all the rewards, and we’re excited to announce that they were finally picked up by our delivery company from our office in Slovakia yesterday!

The pallets are now on their way to Miami airport in Florida. Once they arrive at our shipping partner's warehouse, USPS labels will be applied to the packages, and shipping will begin. We expect that all our beautifull backers in the US will receive their rewards by the end of February.

Canadian and Mexican Rewards: To expedite delivery, we’ve decided to ship all rewards for our Canadian and Mexican backers directly from Slovakia. This will help us optimize shipping times and get your rewards to you as quickly as possible.

European and International Rewards: We plan to ship all rewards to Europe and the rest of the world starting next week via the Slovakian postal service. European backers should expect to receive their Jollylook EYEs during February.

We can't wait for you to receive your Jollylook EYEs.

Jollylook EYE: Hello Final Assembly, Packing and Shipping!

First and foremost, we want to express our deepest gratitude for your unwavering support of the Jollylook EYE project. 

Today we have some important updates to share with you. We're thrilled to announce that we've entered the final stages of the Jollylook EYE manufacturing and packing process! It's been an incredible journey so far, and we're so grateful to have you all with us every step of the way.

There's not much left to go on!

We are still waiting for a few critical components to complete the Jollylook EYE production. Precisely, we await the arrival of the lenses, springs, and shutter units.

The good news is that these components have shipped from China and are expected to arrive by June 15th.

In addition, we have also developed a fantastic packaging design and comprehensive instructions manual. We aim to ensure that you have a seamless and enjoyable experience from the moment you receive your Jollylook EYE!

 Our Plan:

North America: As the number of our North American backers and rewards is the highest, we will pack all the rewards on one pallet and ship it from Slovakia. Within 10-14 days, the pallet will be delivered to our fulfillment partners in Florida, where all the rewards will be finally shipped to you, our beautiful backers. We expect all American backers to receive their Jollylook EYEs throughout July.

Europe and the rest of the world: We plan to start shipping all the rewards to Europe and the rest of the world(except North America) via the Slovakian postal service at the end of June. All our European backers will receive their Jollylook EYEs during the first days of July.

Jollylook EYE: Final Stages and Design Enhancements Update!

We're excited to share some updates on Jollylook EYE project with you all! 

First and foremost, we want to express our deepest gratitude for your unwavering support of the Jollylook EYE project. 

And we're thrilled to announce that we've entered the final stages of the Jollylook EYE manufacturing process. It's been an incredible journey so far, and we're so grateful to have you all with us every step of the way.

As we mentioned in the previous update, with the design upgrades, including the transition to a one-piece design, the focal length of the Jollylook EYE has changed. That's why, we needed to source and match new lenses to complement the pair of our existing lenses. 

We've found the perfect fitting lens, and after testing, we're thrilled to report that everything is working perfectly.

In February all Chinese factories get back in business so we have placed the order for the new lenses. We're now awaiting their arrival to continue with the assembly process.

But that's not all – we've been working on optimizing the assembly process and refining the body's design. By making the body seamless from three sides, we've been able to further enhance photo quality and minimize glare. We're incredibly pleased with the results, and we can't wait for you all to experience it!

Our current plan:

To expedite the manufacturing, we made the decision to print the shutter unit on a 3D printer rather than ordering it from China. We're thrilled to share that everything has been tested and is working perfectly, and we've already placed an order for the whole batch, which will be ready in a week.

We are also actively working on the packaging and the assembly instructions, we aim to make the packaging stylish and robust and the instructions clear and simple. 

We have also purchased and prepared all the wooden materials for the bodies. And we are glad to say that our team has already started cutting them on the laser-cutting machines. 

Estimated Shipping: We expect that all backers will receive their rewards in May.

Jollylook EYE Progress Update - Onward with Excitement!

We have some exciting news to share.

Over the past two months, we have been working hard to improve the design and functionality of the Jollylook EYE. To avoid issues and ensure perfect focus, we've decided to make a one-piece design, replacing the previous moving mechanism:

Additionally, because people using our cameras sometimes turn the development crank too fast, there are "artifacts" that can appear in the top corner of the photo.

To solve this situation, we decided to reject the crank and create the development knob. Due to its size, the knob rotates slower and therefore develops the photos without these "artifacts" and ensures a high quality development of the photos.

Also, recently we had the pleasure of showcasing the Jollylook EYE at the Spielwarenmesse toy fair. Everyone who saw the Jollylook EYE was really excited and the response was overwhelming:

We've found the perfect new lenses, received the samples in January, tested them and they fit great.

Unfortunately, due to these changes, we weren't able to place the order for the new lenses before the Chinese New Year festivities began. As you may know, all factories in China close for the celebrations during this period. 

Our current plan:

Final Component Ordering: All Chinese factories are now getting back in business and we're currently in the process of ordering all the final components, including new lenses and molds for the shutter mechanism. Once they arrive, we'll swiftly move into the assembly phase.

Assembly: As soon as we receive all components, we'll commence assembly and begin shipping out rewards. We expect to have all components from China by the end of March, at which point we'll have pre-cut Jollylook EYE bodies ready. In April, we'll begin the packing process to ensure that all rewards are prepared for shipment. 

Estimated Shipping: We expect to ship all the rewards to our beautiful backers in April.

We're committed to keeping you informed every step of the way. Expect our next update in a month, where we hope to share the great news that all Jollylook EYEs have been shipped.
